How to Add an Intro to a YouTube Video

Adding an intro to a YouTube video is a great way to make it stand out among the rest of the similar videos. YouTube has recently overhauled their code, meaning that you can now place an intro to any YouTube video. If you want to add your own intro to your video, you can do so by clicking on the icon that looks like a channel in the top right corner of the video. In this example, I’m going to use the Tracer intro.

Next, you’ll need to find the Tracer channel that you want to place the intro into. In my case, I found the Tracer channel. Simply click on the menu button in the top right hand corner of the screen, then click “View Settings”. Then, just scroll down until you see the “Settings” tab. Click that and then click on the “Show Advanced Settings” tab.

Once you are in this section, scroll down until you see the section called “Other Options”, and you will see a small box on the left side of the page. You will need to click on this box and then click on the “Videos” tab. You should see a section called “Preview”. Under “Preview”, you will see a selection of videos. If you want to place your own intro into one of these videos, simply copy the address of the video from the window and paste it into the box. Copy and paste the address into the box as well.
